Tony Rock
Born in the same Brooklyn New York Hospital where most of his seven brothers and one sister found
their way into the world, Tony Rock, was born laughing. Being the fourth child of Rose and Julius Rock, Tony had a natural knack for
entertaining, just like his brother, Chris (yes, THAT Chris Rock). He had to just to stay alive. Decatur Street in the Bedford-Stuyvesant
neighborhood, where he grew up, was one of the toughest that New York had to offer. It also provided a host of rich characters on which to
draw.
Rock hosted the television shows "One World Music Beat" and "BattleBots." He also was a writer for
and had a guest appearance on "The Chris Rock Show." In his native New York, he is a regular at Comic Strip, Comedy Cellar, Boston Comedy
Club, Caroline's, and Stand-up New York. While in Los Angeles, he can be seen at the Comedy Store, Improv, Ice House, and Laugh Factory.
Recently, he headlined at Harlem's world famous Apollo Theater alongside Mark Curry and John Henton. Currently, he plays the character Dirk
Black on UPN's All of Us, airing Tuesday nights.
